i had set up a friendly game with ladysapphire, i set the ranking so that nobody below 700 could enter the room, the match was finished after i was 7 balled, rock on sapphire lol, i understand that when a game is friendly a guest can enter, but to my surprise a guest entered my room, the guest was ranked 675.0, which to my knowledge is under 700, i set it deliberately so guests couldnt enter, why does this rule not apply to firendly, i think the ruling should be applied to friendlies which should include the option to allow or disallow guests to enter on a friendly, anybody else think this?

Ranking selection only works for ranked games.
However, it's unintuitive that it isn't disabled / hidden for unranked games, so I'll mark this down as a bug.
Do people want friendly games to have a ranking filter too?

no way!
if your playing a friendly, you are accepting that you are not going to gain or lose any points. So knowing that, you should be willing to play ANYONE that comes in for a game.
as for the guest...I dont like them, I dont see why they just take the extra couple of minutes and sign up after they play a game or two. But if you do make a friendly now, you know that you are going to get a guest most of the time.
leave it how it is nick, its the only way guests are going to be able to play a member and if someone doesnt want to lose points, then s/he should play anyone who enters the room as it is no risk.
I beat a virtuso once on snooker as a friendly (but he must have let me win )

lol good one aflumpire, i don't want the ranking selection in place as i understand what they are in place for, i was thinking more of having an option to be able to stop guests entering if you want a friendly match with members and not guests

i used tot think that would be a nice option - but then guests have no where to go.

well thats the whole point lol, they already have a seperate chat room from us, why not block them from going in our friendly matches if we don't want to play guests, they can still create guest accounts for each other, if they are that bothered they will create thier own accounts, if they cant be bothered making an acount then maybe the incentives will

I think as a solution for Shripman's noted problem would be the addition of a subcategory to allow guests to play your 'friendly' game or not.
Some people, myself included, like to know who they're playing against, but also do not wish to play ranked all of the time. I think allowing people to have the option to play friendlies against users only would definately be a good solution to this.
