Can't you just swap the 11am 8-ball US tournament, with the 8-ball US marathon tournament at midnight?

Then atleast there is a marathon tournament in the day !

Probably not posted in the best place, but instead of having frame scores (i.e. 1-0) on the straight tournament page would it not be better to put point scores (i.e. 35-33).

to be honest guys i disagree with this last one, a lot of people like myself included, play straight tournaments for fun, but as i'm not very good i would not like my score posted so everybody could see it, i believe we should have a little bit of privacy to hide the shame lol

i also play them to get out of newbie, i don't like being branded newbie, i don't play them often so thats the only time i do

That's a good suggestion but it would be a difficult change.

no offence it is gd for some but im in uk and its gonna be hard for me to play marathons as they r my fave i think the marathons sould be spread like the straights

iv got an idea, please post your veiws on this....


as nick can not please everyone on the torny times because funkypool is played world wide how about every 3 months rotate the torny schedule by 3 hours

eg.


6 am uk time 9ball
7 am uk time 8ball.
8 am uk time uk. as they are now then in 3 months time they will change to.


9 am uk time 9ball
10 am uk time 8ball
11 am uk time uk and obviously all the others are rotating to before someone pulls me up on that lol.

this way everyone should be able to play there fav torny at some point during the year

Im up for that as it doesnt particularly concern me what tournaments are played and when..

As kev says, this would give other members the opportunity to play different tournaments throughout theyear.

The feasability , or practicalities of changing tournament schedules may not be that simple.

Further to this, what tournaments would be played in the "changeover period"? When it goes from 6am UK to 9am Uk (9 ball)

Yes I agree completely Kev. Anything that brings variety and opportunity to all is a good thing and I don't think it is that dificult to do either.

i think we should just make it easier for nick and stay with the current times, yet mix it up a little.

put in a reverse tournament, a speed tournament at a different time, a marathon tournament at a different time, marathon speed tournaments (first to three, 10 sec limit)....stick with the 'base schedule', but mix up the type of tournament it is.

yeah, some cant play the tournament they want at a certain time...and maybe change it once every 6 months...but you dont want the base schedule changing too often, it may cause confusion

Surely people log on if they have spare time and fancy a game. Having logged on if they fancy entering a tournament they will doesnt matter what tournament it is - like jim says.


If there are people constantly logging in at a certain time just to play a particular tournament then that is worrying

no, you would be surprised that 3 people in the chat room said they hated the new tournament schedule because it was out of 'routine' and it confused them of which tournamennt was on a which time.

There used to be a 9 ball speed tourney at 6 pm every evening and it was a regular source of tournament wins for me. Not any mnore. Am I bothered? Nope! There's one on at 11 pm now anyway, so it's all good

Like Nick said, it's a good sugestion but difficult to implement. I'd imagine it would take wholesale changes in the way tournament pages are updated.

nick any chance of a tweak to the schedule between 10 pm (UK) and 1 am (UK)? Currently three of the four tournaments are in effect marathons bearing in mind the length of time for a straight tournament and the remaining one is a 9 ball speed where you can be out in one shot.

Please can you consider a switch to spread things out a little more evenly the way they were before?
