I'm looking for a 3D enabled virtual GFX card for VMWare so I can test the Aero features properly in Windows 7 Ultimate (build 6933) properly.
Any pointers?

... I'll start to understand that when they write these things in English...
I'm looking for a way to download videos off youtube and then convert them into .wmv files to play on my computer. I need a video for a presentation I'm making after christmas...

if you u use youtube downloader it has a converter with it, so you download the video then use the downloader to convert the video, that is how i do it.

Firstly; to run a virtual machine, obviously depending on the output settings of your system, it'd probably be best going high range to have the maximum effects. I'd recommend the NVidia GeForce 9600 GT 512MB; depending on the manufacturer you could possibly buy this already overclocked. I think PNY sell them overclocked. I actually bought this graphics card to enhance my DirectX output and increase my shaders and gaming. You should try looking it up, but they can be pretty pricey. I got mine for £110 when I first bought Call of Duty 4.

If you use Mozilla Firefox you can download an add-on called 'Download Video'. Any flash videos on the webpage you visit will be picked up and with a click of the mouse downloaded. Google for your appropriate converter, depending on what you want your downloaded video type (Depending on the source) converted to. You may have to get several converters, but there may a program which includes several in one. Google is your friend. :)

well i hate to disagre with all of you but there is only one way you can download movies off youtube, yes you can downlod them through mozilla firefox with video download but when most of these videos are downloaded they either come out as flash video (.flv) or with no name whatsoever, the best way to then convert them is to rename them, (filename.flv) then you need an flv converter if you convert them with a normal converter it will either not be recognised or it will be converted with sound missing or sound distorte, trust me guys i've tried, do not use the built in convertors.
if ya want to make a video don't use wmv, use avi or mpeg and then google for a free file splitter, you can download loads of mini videos and then use a file splitter to join them together into one big movie

well done if you read this, this is the way to do it easier without an flv convertor, rename the file form .flv to .avi then use a normal avi convertor and then rename to mpeg or just convert to avi, the convertor will think its an avi and will allow you to convert to avi, its a little hack
shhhh

Sorry to dissappoint you all, but I use Veoh WebPlayer to download my videos and then use SUPER as my video converter. No missing sound, no sound distortion. SUPER even resizes the video for my iPod!!

Yep SUPER is an excellent video converter. Flash Videos (.flv) are supported by all decent video conversion utilities now, so it's no longer much of an issue.
Or you could use the site i linked above which can download the converted file for you without installing any software, which is always the best option!
@ Obscurity - the physical card is not an issue, its a suitably enabled virtual component i'm looking for

easy one an1, am going to help you because i'm nice lol, you need to check your graphics card, depending on what computer your running on will be slightly different, go to start > control panel > system > sub menu called hardware > device manager
have a look at all your devices, if there is a yellow triangle then its missing, if there is just a yellow ! then there is a problem, replace/fix all them, if thats not the problem then reply back to me direct with your computer information and i will sort it for you personally, i am seting up a website soon where you can all go and i can help you, rock on the shripman!! lol

and for you spinner, when you say you need a virtual component, do you mean as in the best software to run virtual drives or what, i fail to understand this one lol
or do you mean virtual registries, do you think it wise to mess about with a programme that is only in alpha stage, i would at least wit till its beta, unless your part of the windows 7 project which i very much doubt!
