Hi all

Gonna be a very emotional day for me today. The football team I support, St Mirren, are playing their final match at their current home ground today. It's going to be a tearful day for many Saints fans, from the ones who have supported the team for a few years, to those who have supported them ever since they were a child.

This final game is against Motherwell, while St Mirren are on a historic four game win streak in the top league. Hopefully we can make it a record 5th, and leave our home ground with a final win.

You never notice what you're going to lose till it's time to go.

We sold the stadium to a supermarket chain, and they built us a new stadium. The new stadium was finished a few weeks ago, and we play our first game there on the 31st January. This move has cleared out the clubs debts, so it worked out financially

The current one will be knocked down and was going to be replaced with a supermarket, but it will now be a housing estate.

oh right so in a way it is quite gd but u r sad to see it go

Afternoon all!

It is good yeah, but it is gonna be tearful come the final whistle. So many memories of the place for so many fans, and a sellout crowd, it's gonna be the most emotional place in Scotland come 4.45pm. Atmosphere should be brilliant, and hopefully we can take the win.

I'm gonna go now, bus takes a while to get there and I need to make sure no-one steals my season ticket seat
