hey every1


my computer lags (freezes) constantly! it wont stop lagging! it's so annoying. i try to make a shot on funkypool and it takes 10 seconds to do it! arrgg


some help would be aappreciated

Close all programmes aswell I suppose.

Don't think that helps your computer on the whole though. I know every programme lags when my AVG is running a scan, maybe you have something like that running?

or multiple web pages open

try doing a disc defrag too

1 start menu
2 programms
3 accessories
4 system tools
5 disc defrag and disc clean too while your there

if you browsing on the nett a lot then worth doing once a week
clear cache, history, temp internet files etc off line ones too.... etc, basic 'house keeping' makes a big difference

i'll do a defrag tonite, apparentally it takes a couplel hours

only if you havent done it before....if it takes that long then it was well and truly in need of doing, do it regularly and it can take a whole lot less, depending on your amount of use.

Did you do it and did it work?

then do a defrag asap, but dont use comp for the 1st time you do as it may take a while and slow it down, once u have done it, then re do it regularly, say 2 times a month and maybe more depending on your browsing, but the more you do it the less time it takes and it saves a whole heap of probs...its simple built in maintenance
