The tournament times move every six months, along with the GMT change. Some people prefer the winter tournament times, some prefer the summer times, so it's probably fairest to let them change.

I prefer the summer times. As I'm at my most active in the evening, it always seemed logical to have the 8 ball tourney at 8o'clock and the 9 ball tourney at 9o'clock...

Infantile logic I know... It's just easy to remember...

The short answer to the original question is "No". Ever since I first became a Funkypooler in January 2006 - well, technically not till the change to BST later on that year - the tourney times have changed when the clocks change. For me and my regular work and play patterns, it will mean:
- no more 9 ball speed tourney, my one regular(ish) and dependable source of tourney wins
- reason again to enter the UK 8 ball marathon tourney cos it will not endure past 1 am

It will hurt people in different ways; but it's all the people whom it's affecting, which makes it fair from that perspective.

EDIT: And I've just realised, I can now realistcally take part in the midnight 8 ball speed tourney... yay!

I dont mind the tourny times changing, in fact i prefer it in some cases especially in 8 uk marathon the amount of times i got to final and lost due to tiredness was besetting.

Work in progress, I'm sure... A straight tourney would take a while though for obvious reasons and should be best of one frame. Killer would be a logistical problem.

But ya, this is an old thread...

That's how I remembered the times!

Until I played so much I had them memorised
