Now these are an American rock band formed in 1990. This particular song was released in 2007 and was on their 8th album; to date there have been 9 in total.
Now admittedly, this question i feel is tricky, although this particular song is very well known and you peeps may have heard it being advertised for a co-op first person shooter...the game itself is fantastic, i would recommend it

P.S Bonus points for the game in which the song is featured during the adverts recently.

It is tricky this one , the game the song is featured on the advert is Left 4 Dead 2.....just tell me the artist and i will let you have it....(clue: the name of the band is a device/ mechanism that is in every car. It is operated by the left-most pedal using a hydraulic or cable.)

And im struggling with weather associated naming of a rock band. Closest ive came to is Marillion cos their lead singer is Fish and i keep thinking Michael Fish.
