Gerry, lol! Sweet, thanks

She's not a girl who misses much
Do do do do do do do
Oh yeah

She's well acquainted with the touch of the velvet hand like a lizard on a window pane(s?)
The man in the crowd with the multicoloured mirrors on his hobnail boots
Lying with his eyes while his hands are busy working overtime
A soap impression of his wife which he ate and donated to the Nation Trust

From the world's best band ever? From a double album of theirs in 1968.

Spot on. The lyrics which I got off Google say "pane", but I looked at it on YouTube (not an official video, just a compilation of John Lennon clips) and he clearly pronounces an 's' at the end.

So, ego... your go!

Desmond has his barrow in the market place...
Molly is the singer in a band...
Desmond says to Molly "Girl, I like your face"
And Molly says this as she takes him by the hand...

Ach can't be bothered with the clue. It's The Beatles again. lol

well might have been in your clue that i knew who it was so i didnt bother typing it lol

I just walked in and you were gone, to your Mama?s I suppose
It looks like you won?t be back so I thought you ought to know
I found that note you left today it only took you half a page
I?m gonna grab my old guitar take a pencil from the jar and fill in the empty space

might prove difficult this one so ill be generous in the clues....modern day country singer married to faith hill (sherrrrwing) he also appeared in def leppards last single and this songs about an american actor called kris....the song title is the surname of the said actor

not a bad guess but dylan isnt a modern day country singer that appeared on a recent def leppard song and i dont think.....no i know hes not married to faith hill
however......the last part of the song title you gave is just the one word of the title needed, so get me the artist and your blue peter badge will be on its way

How could it be my go? I was completely taking the Mick!!!

All I saw was Kris and took a stab at throwing Kristofferson into any old song title so make it look as ridiculous as possible; but you, Sir Ego, actually identified Tim McGraw (if that's right, I gave no idea ), so there's no way I could get it right.

Other suggestions I didn't think of:
Kristofferson, You Should Have Come Over - Jeff Buckley (who is modern-day dead)
Achy-Breaky Kristofferson - Billy Ray Cyrus
Kristofferson In Low Places - Garth Brooks

Lol woops.

Shadows grow so long before my eyes
And they're moving across the page
Suddenly the day turns into night
Far away from the city but don't hesitate

Written and recorded by an English musician, featured in an episode of Family Guy once.
