Good sportmanship to me is not using a players dis-advantage to your advantage. Make every game fair, so you win it in a fair manner, even if it means giving up something for yourself so the other player gets a fair crack at the match.
Another point you could add is to treat all other players the way you would expect and like to be treated. That in my opinion is the most important thing on funkypool and life in general
Edit: By dis-advantage I do not mean not being able to pot long balls. I mean more along the lines of having to do something that will require your help for that player continue and have a fair go.

i played 8 ball uk against someone and for some reason though i was reds and potted one of there reds, they then potted the white so i could carry on how nice was that!
i hate playing people who are kicking your butt and are a lot better and when they cant pot they put you in a naff position, in my opinion it just takes all the fun out of playing

Not sure I understand what you mean sporting?
I'm finding it tricky to explain
Basically you should have a fair match, right? If your opponent has some kind of dis-advantage which is stopping the match being fair you should compromise to make that match fair.
Hope that makes more sense

Maybe mine is more general, which isnt good because that's not the question.
I got to agree with your above statement though. Take when there was a bug in straight pool and you could not continue your run if someone left, staying in that game for your opponent to finish even if your still leaving after the one frame, it is a great example of sportmanship on funkypool

I'm still lost, what do you mean. If someone lag's then play a shot to give them the advantage back, for example?

If that has happened in friendly tournament games eg lag, work phone calls etc. I have always offered a rematch or deliberately fouled if someone isn't responding. I can think of one particular person though who just celebrates the situation and takes advantage!!
Its obviously different in proper tournament matches where you dont have that option.

I always just think sportsmanship is saying your gl's gg's ul's wp's gs's etc etc.
Friendlies there is room for fairing a game up through lag. If i'm playing ranked and someone has terrible lag against me i'll take the frame but I refuse to play them again because of how unfair it is. I don't see that as unsportsmanlike.
I think the ultimate one to remember is being modest in victory and gracious in defeat.
One thing that annoys me in tourneys is people waiting till last minute to accept tourney invites, I find this very unsportsmanlike.

i think sportsmanship on here is saying unlucky and all after the game if u win and as egotistical said being modest in victory and that unsportsmanship when u go to tourney games in last minute

Maybe Im talking in a more genreal context. If your team has 15 players and the opposition has 14 you take a player away, for example You can do that on here, but that might come under kindness rather than sportsmanship to many.
Spot on with the modest when winning and gracious in defeat.
I think people make their own opinions on players. Eveyrone being different will see sportmanship on this game differently, as this thread seems to show.
Just be a nice player and person and there will be nothing to worry about.
