Luckypot covered this very well in his post, what you type in a private room is entirely up to you.

Public chat is simply like any other public place - march in swearing and you will be ejected.

If you really feel the need to see swear words typed on your screen, do so in notepad. Simple.

As for in-game, as i've said many many times - 3 year olds can hold conversations without ever using a swear word. Just think what that says about someone who can't...

There are plenty of adult sites with adult chat. Just go there & leave the family game sites alone

I think luckypot and spinner are dead right.
One thing though, be careful in a private room because just cos it's private doesn't mean someone won't report you.
