I no it has come up before becsause i made a thread on it a while back.
In all 3 game types. If you put your oppo into a snooker, or not even a snooker to be honest, but position the white ball close to the cusion, do you think there is a way to make the shot harder? Because its not always that simple to take a shot off a cusion.

I would like to see it made more difficult but I don't have a clue how.
How about if the cue ball is close, or touching an object ball or cushion you cannot use spin? being able to put 100% backspin on the cue ball whilst it is tight up against another object, is just a tad easy.
But it's funkypool as many will say and I suppose this is part of the 'funky'

being prevented from using backspin when shooting out from a cushion would make sense, maybe even force a tad top spin on those shots. This would add a lot to safety strategy for all FP game types.

This has been mentioned many times, but is another of those things that, to implement properly, would require a 3D game engine (to take account of vertical cue angle)
A crude version could be implimented, which simply blocked off the lower section of the cue ball, but seeing this on other sites makes you realise its is much less realistic than you would expect.

yeah, i must agree with spinner. even if we just blocked the lower 55% of the ball (to force a bit of top spin), it can make the game a little more realistic.
it would be much harder the implement this when the cue is against another ball....wouldnt we need a smarter server??

The only difficult aspect is that how much cueball aiming point should be limited is a factor of which direction you are shooting, and with the current implementation you choose spin before the game knows anything about which direction you plan on shooting.
that sequence would have to change, implicit changing the whole process of taking a shot.
