I'm partial to a good game of killer but just recently i've been reluctant to play it as it's only in US format. So how about being able to choose which format you play killer in, when you create a killer game ?
Something like this...
Thoughts ?

9ball killer lol
I think it will come in on the UK table eventually as well but nick is building up the suspense
When a UK table was added something like that would be great

I was just wondering whether or not US and UK killer would need different ranking tables.

That's what I was thinking, because it's a different table, so technically a different game.

Since the tables are so different, then yes I would have to say you would.

Not necessarily, it's just a different format. Think of it as using different colour cloths on a normal game, you don't have different tables for them do you ?

Yes, but being a different format means it's a different game.
Plus, if the two rankings were the same, in a ten man killer for example, six people could be using the UK table and the other four could be using the US, and as the pockets are different etc. it would mean a clash between the two tables between the different players.
As with the different cloths, the actual table does not change, just the colour of it does, so it's completely different.

There is a LOT more that separates a UK table from a US one, apart from "look and feel". The basis for pot success and safety success etc would be entirely different for the two table types.

Ok, what I said came out wrong, I was giving a reason for there not to be separate tables not saying its different.
But think how much space it will take if there are separate tables.

to me; 8 ball is 8 ball.
to me, it doesnt really matter if you are on a green table or on a blue table with protection around the holes...
9 ball killer would be fun (and i would support a 9 ball killer), but do we really need UK killer right now??

Yes, nice idea here but if thats going to happen. 9 ball should have a max of 5 players and 8 ball UK max of 8 players

I know what you mean about the amount of space it would take up, I mean, the space taken up now is a lot.
But I guess you could just keep the one table for killer, and add the UK Killer stats to that table, under the corresponding US Killer stats.
Eg.
KIller
US Ranking - 675.0
UK Ranking - 675.0
US Turn Success - 70%
UK Turn Success - 69%

Very simple, yet a very good idea
