-Depending on how many people apply, each league will consist of 4-8 players in 2-3 leagues (to start off with).
-Players will be ranked in order by their 8 Ball UK rank. The best players will be put in the top league, with the players with the worst ranks in the lowest league.
-Each match will be a race to 4, with 4 points being awarded for a win, and extra points for the amount of games you won by. The loser will get 1 point for each game he won.
-Depending on numbers, at least one player will be relegated from the top league and at least one promoted from the lower league(s) after each round of matches has been played.
-You're free to play your matches whenever an opponent is online, as long as you post the results here. Best times to play are probably 4-10pm GMT.

Rules:
1. Play your matches on time or they will be conceded to the opponent.
2. Be respectful to your opponent.
3. Abide by all of funkypool's rules.
4. Try to have fun! That's what I made this for.

Can someone explain what a ladder is exactly?

It's just a league system with relegation and promotion. Probably didn't need to use the word 'ladder' but I felt like being specific
