A run out is where you clear up off the break and youropponent doesnt get a visit to the table.

a golden break is where you pot the black off the break and your opponent, again, gets no shot!

A 7baller is pretty self explanatory.

And im sure you know what tournaments are!

Hope that helps

So for 7 balling, your opponent can knock all his/her balls in except 1
then you come along and clear up and u get a 7 ball?

No jan lol

Dansier's scenario would leave an individual winning by 1 ball or if that ball was the black it would be on the black.

I think dansiers way of thinking is iff you pot all your balls and the black in 1 visit its a 7balling. However this is not neccessarily true this only applies if your opponent has 7 reds/yellows/stripes/spots on the table when you have won.

Also for a golden break in us 9ball if you pot the 9ball (not 8ball) off the break its also a golden break. mmt has told you the 8ball golden break.

A 9ball runout is the same as mmt has posted clearing all the balls in 1 visit or comboing the 9ball in 1 visit to the table without your opponent getting a shot in

What he described is a perfectly legit 7 balling Mike

Any 7 legal pots in a row = a 7 balling, regardless of what your opponent has done before (or after)

No...

7ball, you need to pot all 7 of your balls and the black before your opponent pots 1 of his.

a 7 balling is when you have potted ur 7 balls and the black and ur opponents 7 balls are left on the table,
thats how you get a seven balling registered in your profile, not by doing 7 legal pots in a row.

That is a run-out, not a 7 balling (although any 8 ball run-out technically implies a 7balling as well)

So to put it simple, what you are trying to say is that you need to win with your opponents having 7 balls left on the table?

Weeee, we learn something new every day lol

And Mike... mod... newbie... what's the difference lol, I certainly know which of the two applies the most right now

It's not necessarily a run out...could be 10 shots into the game, with neither player having potted, then you pot all 7 of your balls and the black, with your opponent not having potted any, That's not a run out

A runout is when your opponent doesn't get a chance on the table, methinks. (Except from a GB, because thats a....GB ) Everyone else seems certain...:/

Well, the approach on how you would want to play your game in order to achieve one would be exactly the same either way :)

Jamb, your wrong. 7 balling is potting all your balls + black, without your opponent potting 1 of his. End of discussion.

Run out is clearing up straight from your break (NOTE: a run out isn't always a 7 balling, you could pot both yellow and red with break shot).
