Just as a quick note - there have been complaints about privacy issues - Google giving away information to advertisers.
When you sign up for Chrome, there is a box you can check:
Optional: Help make Chrome better by automatically sending usage statistics and crash reports to Google. Learn more
I'll have to download it and try it before judging the program, but it looks like it has great potential.

I'll definitely reconsider this browser when it gets past beta.
Right now, it's a little too rough (no add-ons, few toolbars) for me to use now.

It's not a bad browser. First to offer a true privacy mode (apparently, I won't believe it 'till i try it myself!) rather than just clearing your cache on exit.
I really like the minimal look and feel. Todays browsers are so overloaded with menu's and buttons you could spend half a day browsing them without even connecting to the net!
However, as with GMail, remember the conditions you are agreeing to when running Chrome :
"11. Content license from you
11.1 You retain copyright and any other rights you already hold in Content which you submit, post or display on or through, the Services. By submitting, posting or displaying the content you give Google a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute any Content which you submit, post or display on or through, the Services. This license is for the sole purpose of enabling Google to display, distribute and promote the Services and may be revoked for certain Services as defined in the Additional Terms of those Services.
11.2 You agree that this license includes a right for Google to make such Content available to other companies, organizations or individuals with whom Google has relationships for the provision of syndicated services, and to use such Content in connection with the provision of those services.
11.3 You understand that Google, in performing the required technical steps to provide the Services to our users, may (a) transmit or distribute your Content over various public networks and in various media; and (b) make such changes to your Content as are necessary to conform and adapt that Content to the technical requirements of connecting networks, devices, services or media. You agree that this license shall permit Google to take these actions.
11.4 You confirm and warrant to Google that you have all the rights, power and authority necessary to grant the above license."

You forgot one:

I'm taking an instant liking to Chrome. It does share some of Firefox's annoying insecurities but is much more stable with what i've thrown at it so far.
Best of all is the layout, very clean and functional. Excellent.

You can disable sending google your data by running incognito (tools > Open Incognito Window).
After running in incognito, open up the Options page from Tools, click Manage under Search Engine, and uncheck the box at the bottom.
I looked into this, and (though not certain) it should make your searching much more private.
Picture below.

An additional note on dynamic tabs:
THESE ARE THE COOLEST THINGS EVER!
Drag the tab off the bar to make a new window, drag a tab from window to window to combine them...
I played around with this for 5 minutes, and I'm going to do it some more :D:D:D

Not to advertise anything, but if you dislike the color scheme, want to know how to get around a problem with Chrome, or just read more about it,

is one of the more complete forums discussing this new browser.

As an avid 'Gmailer' I have long wondered about Google's privacy policy. Did you know they were legally forced to change it in the United States? If this policy were that of Microsoft there would be boycott's and havoc. Google is such a trusted company that most are 'ok' with it. Though Google have shown no indication in the past that they would abuse their enormous power, I do often feel uncomfortable knowing that they can freely access every piece of correspondence I have written in the past six years.
That said, their services are undeniably the best around, and when they engage in a new venture they always make sure they have the best product on offer. Chrome is not available, even in Beta, for Mac, but when it is I will certainly sign up.
