do you think this website will ever change the fact that loads of people get through on bye in tournaments when only one person realistically needs to go through on a bye an that is when there is an odd number of players in the tournament. Just hope someone will look into this

dont that we cant just have any even number for everyone to play.

after the first round, we need either 2, 4, 8, 16, 32 or 64 players remaining!!

if we chose any even number, there would be more byes through out!

yup the number of matches (either player a vs player b or player c BYE) must be a power of 2 for the tournament system to work unless there is more than 2 in a match(it then changes to a power of however many is in a match

In short: It's not a fault or a bug - it's entirely intentional and necessary in order to achieve a binary tournament tree from round two through the finals.
