Just a little suggestion if the donation takes place the top right will be left blank and will have room for anything to be fitted in.

Recently i was trying to listen to youtube and play pool at the same time but it was causing a lag. Im aware of many others having the same problem so i have spoke to nick already; I am posting here to get feed back about what would you all think if we was able to give funkypool music; this would have a search bar in the top right hand corner for you to find your music, volume controls, and would stop the dreaded lag.

I thought getting rid of the ad meant that the table could be made bigger, therefore there wouldn't be a space there?

I don't know, and also, having a music player is also just as likely to cause lag mate

table adguestments can be made on the internet tho- i can zoom in so i can just see one pocket

I like the idea, but how would it stop the lag? Surely it will do the same as I-tunes, youtube etc....

Would be good to have some kind of funky music though, Maybe on the homepage there could be an option of 'funkymusic library' where songs are added and people can just enter it and play the songs that have been added..

Hmm what source is the music going to come from?
Also why don't people just get there music onto itunes coz then no lag is caused.

But if you can't afford the music then i guess it would be a good idea.

itunes also causes lags i forgot to mention in it in the first paragraph but its youtube, itunes etc etc that cause the lag when also running fp

Its true that whether the media player itself causes lag will be down to your individual setup, however if its a live stream, that can cause network lag as well.

I've actualy been playing with a low bandwidth "radio station" myself. It uses the windows media player plugin as it should cause least strain on a windows system. Have a listen at http://www.spinnersweb.co.uk

I'd be interested to hear if it affects peoples gameplay.

As for music being part of the site, besides the extra weight on the server/network there is a minefield of legal issues regarding running a live feed.

sounds a great idea if it works, i like the sound of being able to listen to what other players have put on to listen to. somehow i think my "one eyed, one horned, flying purple people eater" would be bottom of the play lust...lol

A great idea would be to remove the post count altogether and just give people like a star or summat for until they get past like 200 posts. then they have the top star and everyone knows there a forum regular but noone cares how many times you have posted.

That would help stop the spammers.

What i did was a double post....thats where you click the button twice to post because your internet is lame. It sometimes posts twice, but mainly just does what you wanted

i was talking to nick about this and as of yet i havnt done no research to find where we can get the music from. I was hoping too get 70% good feed back to show nick in which case id then start to work on this idea more if he would be willing to allow it
