Is anyone watching tonight's game? I've followed Real Madrid for years, and tonight is a joke. Madrid didn't want the referee because of regional prejudices...and lo and behold, he gives a penalty against Salgado for heading the ball away in open play...

I've heard of worse refereeing than that. Last season, St Mirren were home to Celtic, heading for a 0-0 draw. Then the ref Eddie Smith gives a free kick for a dive in 87 mins, Celtic score. Funnily enough this ref has worked in the policing of games at Celtic Park.

Even worse, he is handed the Celtic vs St Mirren match start of this season. He gives a penalty for a dive along with a red card. First off, Celtic were actually offside, so there shouldn't have been an attack in the first place. And, although it was a blatant dive, Eddie rejected the red card appeal. A few weeks later he got another game at Celtic Park.

Scottish refs are despicable and biased towards the Old Firm (mainly Celtic).

As for the CL, I'm glad to see Famagusta, Cluj and BATE doing well

it wasnt luck, it wasgrit and determination, exactly the way exactly the sort of spirit that makes them unbeatable at home, very impressive.

Decent enough performance from Celtic, bit disappointed not to get the win.

2nd is too much now, have to take 3rd to keep UEFA Cup spot.

Liverpool atletico madrid still has me washing that bad taste outta my mouth, horrrible refereing. There were at least 3 blatant handballs in the box that coulda been called. And then that penalty to Gerrard, he jumped into the defender! Madrid was robbed.

robbed if you consider the last min concession, but if you take the game as a whole i think Madrid would be happy with a draw, especially as they were lucky in teh 1st game

Liverpool To Win The Champions League

champions league is quite open this year. I was expecting zenit to do better but owell. Big liverpool fan so would obviusly love to see them win it but barca look unstoppable
