OK this is very much of an ambitious trial to see if it works (I'm not hopeful having watched this forum for so long lol but I'll give it a go). A 9 Ball ladder tournament open to anyone (at anytime).

It will kick off tomorrow with as many players that have signed up to play. As it's a trial the plan is to run it for 2 weeks then for the top 4 to play off to find a winner. Subsequently the ladder will be ongoing possibly with play-off tournaments at regular intervals.

Each game is a race to 3. Any player can challenge any other player who is up to 4 places above him/her to a game. If the challenger wins they swap places and if the challenger loses the two stay in the same position. If you enter you may play as little or as often as you wish however if you do not play you will obviously be unable to climb the ladder and risk actually being moved downwards. New players may join at anytime and will be placed into what I consider an appropriate position based on their ability.

If successful I will set up similar ladders for the other two game types if people are interested. Depending on participants I may need someone with the time and knowledge who would be kind enough to set up a web page as space to post in the forum is obviously limited.
