Yeah, that post about Noel Hunt getting dogs abuse. I'm saying no more.

You do know that posting straight after your last post is considered as spamming?

Perhaps you should read the forum rules before you have your posting rights revoked.

Lmao, I love the look of this:

Threave Rovers/Stenhousemuir/Stranraer vs Motherwell

Just how Motherwell have NO IDEA who they'll end up playing

I think most of their fans want Stranraer.

IF St Mirren can cause a shock and win away to Peterhead, I'd much rather travel to Ayr United instead of Hibernian. Ayr is a good day out (having been past 2 preseasons, + League Cup last season). Hibs will knock us out, our record at Easter Road is awful. Plus another game vs SPL opposition = zzzzzzz.

Then again, we wont beat Peterhead

So far it's looking good for your wee day out lol

This may seem a bit off subject, but i was thinking about this the other night.

Imagine if every player in the SPL stayed with their clubs instead of being transferred elsewhere?

For example, Kilmarnock would have Naismith and Boyd up front!!!!
Hibernian would still have Whittaker and Miller.

I could go on forever, but i wonder how the league would look if this was the case, Celtic and Rangers would struggle a lot more IMO.

Agreed, but that could be same for every league, the big teams would struggle

I think about it every now and again, especially about Hibs and Dundee United. Hibs could have had a team with Gary Caldwell, Steven Whittaker, Scott Brown, Kevin Thomson and Anthony Stokes.

Dundee United could have had a team with Mark Wilson, Willo Flood, Noel Hunt, Lukasz Zaluska, Barry Robson, I'm sure there's a few others too.

If St Mirren could have held onto players, we could have a squad of:

GK: Paul Gallacher
RB: David Van Zanten
CB: Kirk Broadfoot
CB: Scott Cuthbert
LB: Ian Maxwell
RM: Stephen McGinn
CM: Andy Dorman
CM: Charlie Adam
LM: Simon Lappin
ST: John Sutton
ST: Billy Mehmet

That team would demolish our current side.

Mat, if you find someone on this thread (apart from yourself) that cares about Celtics "paranoia" then please continue to tell us about it.

Yoda, i reckon the Saints could put in a decent league challenge if they still had that team. No joke.

I doubt we'd go as far as that, but it's still a pretty good team. I think the weakest positions are LB, RB and RM.

We never, ever had a strong LB, Ian Maxwell was pretty good but now, he may be past it.

At RB, Van Zanten's first stint with us he was pretty good. 2nd time round he's struggled. Jack Ross was better in his first season with us, but he was definitely past it a year later.

At RM, I can't remember if we even had a RM. Dorman and McGinn were all best central, but I had to put one of them out right.

Taking a look at that squad, it really is something. Charlie Adam has been the backbone of a Blackpool side in the EPL, Broadfoot's played in the Champions League. McGinn, Dorman and Lappin are all in the Championship. Lappin was a huge loss to us as his crosses for John Sutton were great. Sadly for us, Billy Mehmet was awful until Sutton left, so we never got that combination. Paul Gallacher has played for Scotland. Some damn good players there.

Agreed Yoda,

Been a terrible week for Rangers, losing their top current goalscorer, and losing at Tynecastle, putting Hearts in a fantastic position to challenge for the championship!!

To be honest, as a die hard Gers fan, i actually wouldn't mind seeing Hearts win it, they have been brilliant all season, but...doubtful.

Mind you, if they get past Celtic on Wednesday, oohoohoh, it will get very very exciting!!

Good luck to them!
