anyone actually want to offer an explanation or some technical guide to why it does this

It can be caused by people repeating the exact same text a number of times. So if you typed "gg wp" a few times in a row it may think you're spamming. I will make this filter more lenient for next version.

yeah every time it has happened i have been very quiet, bar, gg ul or gg etc.

no other chat every time so that clears that up then.

It was put in place to stop the

"any1 want 2 chat to a 16 f london"

type messages some people repeated every 2 minutes.

I would suggest, for that reason, its best left in.

gg
wp

instead of "gg wp" would prevent it.
