Right, got a wee bit extra money and looking to buy one of them, I amn't sure which.

PS3 is a bit out of price range, and the XBox 360 and wii are about similar priced.

I was edging to XBox 360 because I thought wii was more aimed at children and only so long you can play tennis. Also I've heard the wii is great when there is a bunch of folk but poor for single player.

Any thoughts?

The wii is good! but a bit crap if no one's around to join you.

The wii gets boring after a while mate, I'm more of a ps3 man myself but i'd prefer an xbox than a wii.

Wii isnt much different, Xbox has better graphics everything!

I'm not saying the Wii is crap, it's good entertainment but it's absolutely rubbish for online play, lacks good shooting games too.

The next gen as proven that you need a good shooter to keep older interests in a console.

If you have the money to pay for Blue-Ray DVDs then I suppose the PS3 is better, however I don't think it's superior in any other way!

Personally I went for the 360. Just makes sense really!

No, You dont need to change anything really

If you have a Wireless Router It's so much easier, You just use the one cable from the xbox plug it in the back of 360 and in side of wireless router and bam, internet etc is ready..

I doubt it will affect your live mate !

I use an ethernet cable - never have problems with that! Its £40 for the gold membership and well worth it. I'm normally on the Xbox when my wife is on the PC and have never experienced any problems with connection.

Don't buy Halo 3! It's awful.
