Ok then, corronation street is scripted so therefore it must be real.......................

And also the blood nowadays is fake. In tis gone by the wrestelers used to use the blading technique to make the opponent bleed, this is now an unsafe way of doing things and wwe has scrapped it. Now they use blood capsules, basically fake blood!

Having said that it does take skill to wrestle safely and im not doubting that some of the moves will actually hurt, just not to the extent that they make it out to be!

Wrong...

I understand what you are saying to an extent. Wrestling isn't fake, it's just planned. If you actually took an interest, you'd know this. But because you don't, get the hell out of this thread.

Ok you understand what i'm saying yet you want me to get the hell off the thread...??? *confused smilie*

Anyhoo broke bones, pulled muscles etc etc are accidents that come with the dangers of wrestling. At the end of the day wrestling is acting, it is fake, the outcome of the matches are decided about a month before they actually take place. I watched wrestling when i was younger but stopped watching about 3-4 years ago.

Also calm down, your very angry. Maybe you could take up wrestling yourself...?

Pooliver - we always end up with at least one numpty on a high horse on every thread - usually it's me, alas you've stole my thunder!

Please don't post again on this thread unless you're contibuting to the discussion of the enjoyment of wrestling. People don't need to be told it's fake and scripted - as they already know. They also don't want to have to argue the reasons why they like it.

Anyone else posting just to try and cause arguments will have their posts removed. This is a discussion about wrestling and it's happenings, nothing else!

Awww i didnt get to do my old speil on the difference between soaps, sports and wrestling..

I wil point out that Randy Orton wrestled 7 more minutes to finish the match with his broken collarbone, you dont see many boxers or soap actors doing that

You got that the wrong way round m8. Blood squibs were used a lot in the early 80's (especially in the NWA/WCW, and especially Ric Flair. But when you're wrestling 60 minute matches every night and twice a day at weekends, you cant bleed for real for obvious reasons!) However better TV coverage meant reverting to the blade.

If you pay attention to WWE programming in particular, since the move to HD, except in exceptional circumstances all "juicing" must be done hardaway (real shots) since blading becomes too easy to see.

Victory Road tonight, not the best card TNA have put together for a while, but the X Cup finals are always good and with Joe in the main event i cant see it leaving a sour taste lie so many WWE PPV's have recently.

I'm just dreading TNA goofing the chance of a Christian/Dudleys booked TLC match being replaced with something stupid like fish again (though that was the best comedy match i've seen in years)

u r rite and wrong there, with out a doubt they use blood capsules for bleeding from the mouth, but the balding technique is still used now days coz blood caps so work on the head because the capsule reacts to saliva and last i checked there is no saliva on the forehead.

Also wrestling is for an entertainment value so of course the wrestling r goin to fake alot of the tricks

But the thing tha annoys me the most about TNA is that Shark Boy. Is he meant to be Steve Austin or what?

It's a Steve Austin gimmick... and the whole Abyss thing is based on when Kane was masked. James Mitchell (who was recently released) = Paul Bearer. I can guarantee you that in 1 to 2 years, Abyss will lose a Mask Vs Title match and go insane.

*Couldn't fit this in my other post*

I'd love to see kane put the mask back on....He was so good in the old day,the way he would get hit repeatdly with a chair and not move a inch...was good stuff

Now he just sits up now and again...Shame

But the biggest disappointment is ECW....it's gone so far from extreme...i can't even watch it without sabu or the rest

Whats going on !!!

I actually like ECW the best now (the last 3 RAW's have been vastly improved though, which promted this thread)

No, its not the old ECW we traded tapes of, but its the best *wrestling* show on WWE TV. I just like the booking, feuds run longer giving the wrestlers a chance to really gel, not like the 1 week angles all too common on RAW recently.

My liking for TNA is, and always has been, based around Samoa Joe, and to a lesser degree, AJ Styles. Jay Lethal has risen through the ranks during the past year or so and could now really benefit from a move to WWE. I can see him being a wrestlemania headliner a few years from now.

Though their TV time is increasing, I honestly believe TNA was a stronger product back in 2006. Just look at some of the PPV's they had back then. But then they decided to get "star power", and apart from Angle, its all been downhill.

Nash may be great on the mic, but painful to watch in the ring.

TNA Is brilliant...one thing that makes it really good is the shape of the ring...it's just weird seeing a square ring for so long

TNA was certainly brilliant last night!

Easily the best PPV they have put on in well over a year. The X Cup surpassed all expectations, the TLCC match was excellent (and another example of a serious injury not stopping a wrestler performing), and the main event was just what a main event should be.

Clever, intricate booking which all tied in and made sense, but then i'm a huge Joe mark so great to see him doing what he does best

Then to follow that up, anew Botchamania today too!

The best match i remember was when Undertaker was dressed up as Masked Kane and he was actually wrestling 'The real Masked Kane' in a match and Undertaker won lol and then after revealed who he really was if I can remember.

Also when Booker T and Stone Cold where fighting in the supermarket pure classy comedy that was haha!

Great PPV last night

Michaels/Jericho stole the show, but that was always going to be the case. Excellent study case for those who think the blood is fake too!

JBL/Cena was another highlight, i'd forgotten how good JBL is at the old 90's style brawls, and the format suits Cena much better than being in the ring with wrestlers infinitely more talented than him.

Nice to see Punk getting a good outing, and showing that Batista aint too bad. He's no Samoa Joe though, imagine Punk v Joe 3 at Wrestlemania..

Edit - AND we get a new Botchamania too
