Ok everybody knows who i am just a simple question ive been dying to ask, im not much on snookering people to win when you have a easy shot to makejust to win the match, is it people not sure of themselves or cant stand to lose . ive come to a a answere but want somebodys else,s if i couldnt pot a ball id go cook in the kitchen lol just a question people the one and only u_s_a_rule now were talking uk 8 ball , keep that in mind i no its a rule but if you have a easy shot why not make it lol

Are you asking whether or not people think it's ok to snooker when you have open shots?

In either case, *my* view is that people are free to snooker as much as they are able to - it's part of the game every bit as much as potting balls is.

As far as i am aware any improper way of playing is against the rules and therefore you can't do. So.. anything you can do... is the proper way of playing.

In my opinion - yes it is.

Not that it needs an excuse in the first place, but here's one aspect you might not have thought about:

For good players, open balls that are easy to pot is a resource. You use each of those shots to gain cueball position around the table as needed.

Spending all those easy shots before dealing with the hard/ackward ones is suicide against any of the better players.

That's also why you can now and then see a snooker even when there are apparently easy shots that could have been made. Not because the player can't make the shot, but because the ball is more valuable on the table than potted.

It's called "strategy." Everyone has one, and everyone is different. The more advanced players use snookering because it makes it tougher for the opponent.

Wish I could, would make my life so much easier!

it dont take strategy to snooker a player, how hard is it to roll a ball behind another. i believe the all time snookers,,,,,,,,,,, should go play snooker aint that why they call it snooker please think of it this way, were would there rank be if they played like i play ?

Um yes it is hard, and no it doesn't "take" strategy it IS a strategy. It's not so easy to position the cue ball and the object ball where you want them to be.
And guys like you earn Americans a bad name, I am sure the whole US appreciates you.

I have no idea who you are but that is certainly a seminal example of how to take the "simple" out of simple question.

Snookering is a perfectly legal strategy choice of the individual. If this troubles you greatly, perhaps you have lost sight of the fact that it's only a game.

snookering people is just as much a skill as potting... get over it.
