Does anyone have a moped?
I recently got one and I'm a little unsure if mine is running correctly so I'd like to see if mine runs similar to other peoples.

What moped is it you bought? What makes you think it might not be running correctly?

they all sound crap though- thats the point in them- is it making a specific noise? a bang, a hiss blah blah.....

the problem with mopeds is, especially if its a used one, the previous owners get them un restricted to make them go a little bit faster, and add an aftermarket end can to make it noisier and to allow easier airflow.
Now...a 49cc moped isnt designed to do more than 30mph, perhaps you can squeeze a few extra mph out of it, but i would guess if its been modified, it may well be in need of carbs re setting/jetting, timing adjusted valve clearances need re setting, any number of these problems can happen on a standard engine or an unrestricted one, if the bike has been left standing you could have sediment in the float bowl, unleaded fuel does that when not used, then muck gets into the carbs, then its usually a removal and blow out with an airline.
What are your symptons though, i bet some of the above has covered it
