After a missunderstanding I thought I would post in here.

What pool sayings do you know and what do they mean.

I shall start.

Fudge or Fudgeing, Means slow play
Offten used to describe players that use the old rules.

Think most pool sayings are more regional than anything else.

Fudging is one we use and mostly to the old EPA rules, but is more winning frames by covering bags tying balls etc etc.

Rest are stuff just obvious stuff like dish (break and clear), tappers (simple clearance, mostly stun shots etc), nobbys (nuckle of the middles).

Ah yeah, suck his eyes out, not heard it much but have now and again.

Love the sarcastic shouts, "He's covering cushions" = when someones missed a pot and left it on a cushion.

I'd have gone for that. Same reasons as he's covering cushions but normally said to your own players.

What you stepped in, Got away with it as in you fluked a ball or your opponant missed an easy shot leaving you to clear up.

Colins do you currently play for any leagues.

Chalk that cue = your opponent won't clear.

I'd have played the pot that time = your opponent has missed by miles.

Scratched - Potted the white.

I was surprised by how many UK players hadn't heard of it. Must be an American thing.

Yeah, I remember watching 9ball for the first time ever a few years ago and was completely lost with the American commentary using all these strange things like scratched. And then Sid Waddel commentating on it didn't help either.

Draw (back spin), follow (top spin), nuckle (jaw), rail (cushion), bank (double), side (middle pocket), english (side spin).
