I used to be in support of this idea but this game is what started Funkypool, with those same rules (or very similar)...so why change the original settings??
its a part of the game; and it is very fustrating...but if you want the balls to touch the walls, then play on the blue table (8 US)!!!

I think it should be the official rules as currently it favours the person who is snookering, and it's always good to bring the game in-line with official rules where possible.

I agree with pool life, can you not leave it how it is, or make a new official rules game and leave us the fun UK 8 ball under the title Arcade Pool. Then everyone will be happy.

Is it more fun though? Surely there's not much fun involved for either party in touch-up safeties.
Maybe it could branch into 2 versions, with a new version with proper pockets as well.

Loving the sound of that- 8ball Uk Pro would be soooo much better.....but as already said keep the original for the people who love it.....personally i only played UK for the first 6 months or so on the site and now hardly ever play it. I'd love a new version with proper pockets and different rules

Yes, it's what made the site so good in the first place, what would squeezy say the most avid UK 8 ball campaigner. It's the most fun game out of all of them and would be a great loss if the serious rules came in.

leave it as it is. Its been this for years+years so why change it now and mess it all up?
Snookering is part of the game, if you don't like it, then don't play a shot where u can be snookered the next shot then or go on practice table getting out of snookers.
