I have noticed on these forums that if a member has many posts and has regular banter with the moderators then they are often allowed to insult and offend other members. Or if somebody disagrees with one of the chosen few then the rest will always band together and pester the new member until he / she stops posting.
Ive been a member since November 2007 and dont have many posts but the posts i use are usually used in defending myself ( for example check out my comments for what does your username mean ). Nobody swears or breaks any funkypool rules that i know of but the closed community on these forums cannot see that they are making the forums an unpleasant place to visit. This is just 1 persons opinion, does anybody out there agree?

If you try and post on a thread and it lets you, then the forum must be for you Al!

i think you are paranoid- the first post i ever noticed by you, was one insulting a pretty popular guy for his sarcasm.

The forums are welcoming to all members, i doubt you'll find many who agree with you.

So he is allowed to be sarcastic? is that making the forums a better or worse place to be? you are exactly the type of member im talking about mr ive over 5000 posts, get over yourself.

I think all I can say to you Al is, if you feel that the people on the forums are attacking you and you are convinced that it's just not a different point of view (something totally different to attacking you I may add) then you should use the contact us option and get in touch with the Mods/Admin.

See thats the kinda come back i mean.......if you attack people for basically nothing then i'm sure the forums wouldnt seem friendly.....what is wrong with sarcasm? Its a form of humour that is labelled as sarcasm by people who dont understand it.....colins has a dry sense of humour that some people appreciate and some dont. If you dont then why do you feel you need to say so.

The comments i mentioned have no reference to colins, but it is one of the points im getting at. As somebody who doesnt know him or you from Adam i have the common sense to leave you alone but for some reason you find it necessary to pick at every post i make. This badgering is exactly what i mentioned in my original statement.

Its called a debate and if you create a thread, that is basically insulting regular forum users, and claiming that moderators are not doing there job properly in policing the forums, then people will disagree with you.
I am one of those people who disagrees. Plenty of people start using the forum and find it a very friendly place to be. You are an exception and will no doubt fire off another post complaining that you are being harrassed.
If you feel that I, colins or anybody are harrassing you and picking at all your posts in a way you dont like and feel breaks the rules then make a complaint.
Admin will look into it and deal with it as they see fit. But as none of us are breaking the rules, nobody is harrassing you and you just dont understand how to debate on a forum, you'll be wasting everybodys time imo

Please don't make threads like these, they only lead to arguments!

If you feel you are being bullied on the forum feel free to use the contact us facility!

As for the situation you speak of, I feel it was explained to you that Colins has a dry sense of humour and I'm sure he'd be the first to say don't take it to heart or too seriously! I'm neither know him, or am his friend..........

No member gets preferial treatment, I think we established that a long time ago, however if you feel different then again, feel free to contact us to let us know your feelings.
