was wondering if it would be possible to put on the stats page a record of the highest status you have made i.e professional or virtuoso, that way if people get to virtuoso, they havent got to worry abouts people forgettin they was that high because it will be shown (like the highest rank achieved stat) on your profile, what you guys think ?

No point.. just look at the highest rank achieved stat to see what the persons highest status is

yeh but what i mean is if you get to virtuoso, shouldnt you be able to keep that status even if you go back into the 800's ? because its still something you have achieved, and would be proof that your a v good player no matter what your ranking points because you would still have virtuoso next to your name

Yeah but if you drop down from virtuoso your obviously not good enough to be virtuoso anymore, so why keep it next to your name?

So, for example, you get to virtuoso, but you drop to adept, you should still be branded virtuoso even though you aren't above 900, BUT you have achieved it?

yeh because you have gotten to virtuoso because your a good players, that doesnt change, if i got to 901, then lost 10 points and couldnt get back to 900, if i had virtuoso still next to my name it wouldnt be as bad, youve got there, so why not keep the status, as reward for getting there

Terrible idea. If you want to do that, then why not just get rid of the status system altogether. Someone is called an adept because they are currently playing at that level, same with novice, intermediate, professional and virtuoso. A good run of form may get someone to virt, but it will eventually end, meaning their status as virtuoso is likely to end. Eventually they will go back to being the rank they normally, and rightfully, the status they normally are.

like i said just an idea which would be a reward to the people who get to virtuoso, then lose it again after a couple games, and might not get there again, would be nice to see it next to there names as record of what they have done thats all

So why not for someone who was at virt but dropped down, call them an ex-virt or former-virt. Someone in the 800's isnt virt after all, they're pro. So what do you think to putting the prefix ex- or former-?

That's not a bad idea, but i think keeping it categorized is much better and simplistic, if we had adept virts running around, the up and coming players would have a hard time finding similar opponents.

Maybe a mention on the profile is a good idea, but we pretty much have that anyway with your highest rank displayed.

A good idea though mate, but not a thing i'd support.

its just summit different and a reward for the players who make it but then drop out of virtuoso class etc, summit could go on the profile, saying former virtuoso, or summit like tht, just a lil recognition for what they have done

Yeh i totally get you, but anyone that makes virtuoso is pretty much dedicated on game shouts and it's displayed on the boards, personally i wouldn't ask for anything more!

Maybe have it so that it stays like that for say 30 games after you reached that status? To show opponents what your recent ranking has been like...

Surely this is what the highest reached rank shows on our profiles now? =S

I think you deserve the status you are playing at NOW, not what you have achieved at one point in the past.

And like many others have already pointed out - your highest rank is available anyways.

The people who are virtuoso really have to work to maintain that status. Some people do, and deserve to keep that title - while those who don't should lose it.

The current system is perfect in this aspect imo

This could be going of the track a bit but
Maybe there could be a hall of fame for everyone who has reached Virtuoso?
If the player has lost so many points, and it is a pro again, they still have some kind of reward?

a hall of fame would be great, and would recognise some of the best players on the site nice idea m8, just as long as the people who make virtuoso have summit as a kinda reward

Surely just being at virtuoso is reward enough.

I think that the idea of the categories to represent the player's current level. Rather than the highest level that has been achieved by a player. A seperate stat could implement that but as has been said several times before but the highest rank does already state if you have been a virtuoso or not.

Good intentions, but not an idea worth implementing I would have thought.

That's a far better idea
