I don't think this has been mentioned before:
I think it would give ranked matches more incentive if announcements where made each time a player makes top 10.....top 3.....and no_1 spot at all uk/us8/us9 and overall.
lets face it, its nice to see an announcement goin out to everyone saying you've won a tourny, wouldnt it be nice for everyone to know you are in the top 10 ranked too....would look something like.........
ANNOUNCEMENT: 8 Ball Uk - yorkie_87 is now ranked 10th
ANNOUNCEMENT: 9 Ball US - yorkie_87 has overtaken smithbit as number 1
ya get the idea!
Whadya all think, sure it would be easy to implement and im sure there wont be one of these announcements popping up every 5 minutes!

sounds good mate- only thing i can think of is if someone is say 11th and there playing someone of a similar rank and yo yo in and out of the top ten for a while.
Say win one game and go tenth, lose a game fall to 12th, win a game go to tenth, lose a game fall to 12th etc etc....you get the idea.
Ive done that a few times especially in 8UK.
Maybe if the annoucement could only be triggered once in say a 4/12/24 hour period for each game type.
Also be good to have landmark 7ballers as an annoucement- eg. yorkie_87 just got his 100th 8ball uk seven balling

Would need to get the rankings sorted out first.

We have an overview table to show who's top etc etc tho dont we? Still, its an ok idea, just as long as it doesnt announce bad players!!

Since the tables only cover the top 50 (far less than 1% of the player base), I can't. But yeah, there ARE plenty players at lower rank than yours I'm sure!
