lol..
I'd make a website to host a forum/download spot for my favorite free online shooter game, Kuma\War.

Probably a casino website that won't actually be for real money.
More aimed at rank, and other card games thrown in.

I've made a couple at uni.
But if i were to make one through pleasure, I'd like to create a website that would rival iTunes iStore. That's the way e-commerce is going these days, where the big bucks are.
Reckon they have that sewn up though, apart from the fact the files aren't very transportable across formats.
Possibly one way to get close to them is by means of selling unsigned bands/artists music etc. Sort of cutting out the labels and stuff.
Maybe thought about that too much and got over technical.

If you're gonna do it, do it quick!
Legislation is changing so fast on this. The record comapanies are really trying everything to keep getting a cut, and doing musicians and dealers out of a fortune in the process.
(will stop before rant goes way OT! www.tradtunes.com is a good example of ehat can be done if you wanna look colin. no idea what other genre's are covered - but if an act has signed with iTunes, they may well not be allowed to be sold for download anywhere else. very wrong)
As for sites, i've had a few
My favourite was spinnersweb.com - i was averaging over 10000 hits a day as a wrestling movie clips download and recap site, long before even WWF.com offered video content.
Sadly, they noticed so i had to give that up
Now though, and i havent said this anywhere else, i fancy something like "livegigs.com" - a simple interface for bands to stream their gigs via mobile phone to anyone listening in a browser..
I know i dont have the time, so if you like it, go with it on condition you link to funkypool from the homepage
