Whilst on holiday a couple of weeks ago i sat at a bar and ate a bag of fried whole emperor scorpions which to my surprise tasted great. They were definately the weirdest thing ive ever eaten, has anybody else ever eaten anything which you never thought you would let pass your lips?

Note: Twinkies dont count, they should but dont.

Hey!.. did they taste like chicken?.. everything you don't usually eat is said to taste like chicken.

And nope, not eaten anything weird. Although i do know that my mum used to eat fish eyes, and chicken feet when she was young overseas. Yukk!

If this thread makes it (which i think it may just do) I have no doubt that someone will say worms!..

The main body was chewy like steak but i would have to say that it tasted like scorpion as ive never tasted anything like it before.

I had forgotten about worms, i think all kids have tried them and from what i remember they tasted of the mud which we never washed off properly. eugh.

I've had Camel Sausages before whilst on holiday in Tunisia...not really sure what they tasted like, i just remember them being really spicy and bright red! Don't think i'd have em again! I'm a fussy eater so that's as weird as i'd go me thinks!!!

I was in the florida everglades a few years back, went to one of these fast food places and they had alligator burger on the menu, curiousley i asked for one and as i was in a rush i told them to make it snappy

Brown sauce on a chocolate biscuit (it was a dare) , definitely the weirdest thing I've ever ate.

I live in Florida, and it's not that weird. Gator tail is better. I'd say that's the weirdest thing I've eaten, since I'm a picky eater. I would have it again, tastes great!

i tried shark stake when i was little on holiday.

cant remeber what it tasted like but do remember it being very salty.

but am a proper zoomer it was probably just tuna!

I'd guess about 50% of what i eat would probably fit this category, but i'll go for stuffed Puffin as weirdest.

I mean, its like a minature multicoulored penguin that can fly and tastes of fish.

I had no problems eating the above and knew what they were before hand. But I didn't know what Bat Guano Soup was until 2 chews in and I spat it out :-/
