playing in the tounro b4 and the william hill add came up and it slowed my computer down alot it went that slow that i could not take my shot i tried 2 take the shot but it would not let me.

im sick of the adverts, id rather pay for the site than have the adverts blatantly ruin the game, that stupid boxing one is ruining my comp completely, i cant shoot when it comes or and cant even disable it or put it on low quality because it goes straight back, just cost me a tourny because i had no control over power management or anything, its the most infuriating advert ever on this site, its alright when it just comes up with " internet could not connect" box like the advert isnt connected or something, grrr isnt there anything that can be done about this?

just had an idea, when i right click it it says "about adobe flash player 9"

if i get rid of adobe will that mean the adverts wont show up?

dont forget guys that these adverts keep this site going.

without the adverts, funkypool couldnt be free (why?; I dont know....ask an admin)

way to point out the obvious..... first answer would be that adverts are needed for the funding of the site because nobody is going to consistantly pump funding into the site without getting something back for it, hence sponsorship, what im saying is that its strange that the william hill adverts affect the game so badly, last night i spoke to about 12 people who said they couldnt even shoot because of it, and i was the same, my game was almost paralyzed if you will, surely theres someway of preventing this without upsetting the sponsor?

what works for me is to disable the flash media player - in IE6 its under 'tools' and 'manage add-ons' - not sure whether this works, or can be done, on other browsers though.

The ads pay for the site as you've said and Nick doesn't have control on what is advertised on FP so I don't think he can do much about it. You can get admuncher aswell, this helped me when I had serious lag problems. But your problem seems to be resolved so my input isn't needed anymore

well it is and isnt if you understand lol, i mean the boxing one is gone of course because thats on tonight but ads are still theyre and they can get rather annoying, does this admuncher work?

Seriously though - if you need flash for other sites (youtube etc) then installing version 8 instead of 9 will make a huge difference.

Using google to search "install flash 8" should do the trick (and remember to turn off auto updates in flash options)
