Hi.

Instead of just having a plain white background how about designing our own back ground (it could be pictures of pool table's behind your stats) or having the stats a differrent colour.


Second idea: or the top 10 people have there names in green or something like that.

Mate I don't like the first one cas mods/Admins like to keep the site tidy so they won want that I think

But the next i dear i love, I think people would like that idear in particuler

And the last idear will never be impleneted cas it says on there profile if there a mod/Admin and there is a * icon above the mods/Admins names when you play them


So overall mate pretty good, I think people would like your second idear

As for making the mod and admin usernames different colours in the game window, that's a great idea!

Think it would look silly. Don't want to be turning this into a myspace / bebo type thing. Best left as it is.

Not even just a simple colour change of profile? A complete change of skin or whatever is too much i think, but a choice of a few colours would be a good touch

on the profiles they do look a bit plain with the green splodge's maybe if there was more colour added, it would look better on the profile's.

erm......... this aint going to work mate, Mods wont be happy with and certainly Admins wont cas it's just going to ruen the funky look

Well, it has been discussed before and the verdict was that admins don't want it to look like bebo/myspace which is understandable and I agree to a certain extent but a simple skin change of color would be deemed as ok. You don't want to go over-the-top so keep options simple and then mods don't have to check if the content is ok etc. Simplicity is the key folks!

To the point of mods and admins having different color usernames in the game window - I don't really support because the asterisk before their name is enough to make any new user aware of that they're mod and having a different color would be a bit pointless in my opinion.

However, having played many online games, I've found that staff on there have a different colour writing in the chat window. Red sets the tone of the staff being in the room. I think FP should have it but isn't essential....

I think it would become too much like a social networking site, and I think it's great the way it is.

I fail to see any reason why profile backgrounds couldn't be made customizable, but it's hardly any important either so I can very much understand it if Nick thinks there's better things to spend time on. Also clearly a matter of preference on how clean the site should be.

As for the mod/admin color suggestion, good idea and see no reason not to implement something like that, but doesn't the * prefix already cover that pretty well?

I think Profiles etc are fine as they are.

Mod/Admin names in diff colours would be great BUT.....It would be really noticable to abusive members, yano the type? the go quiet when a Mods there and start again as soon as they leave!!

Still its an ok idea

Anyway, I think the need for mods to be visible outweighs the need for them to be stealthy in regards to what you describe. Which is a large part of the reason why the star prefix was added as well.
