I looked at the rankings tables recently and wondered who really was the best player and why some of the top players don't play first to 50 games for points against each other. Not only does that sort the wheat from the chaff but also damages the ranking of the opponent! It would also be good to watch the games.....

Easy top 5 at Uk, prob higher but don't wanna cause a stir up. Premier league table speaks volumes. Still awful at the US games though lol

First to 50 (Best of 99) is a ridiculous amount of frames to play at one sitting.

I've always thought the best way is just a long matched tourney, say first to 7 and always rising round to round against the top 16 players or so.

a tourny like that would sort the wheat from the chaff colins- i wouldnt claim to be anywhere near the top ten in 8ball UK as i have only been in the top ten a handful of times and never higher than second- 9 ball is a lucky game anyway and i dont think you could ever say someone was the very best player at 9- just lots of good players-

My best game would definitly be 8ball and id take any challenge of a ranked race to 50 from someone of an equal ranking. There are better players than me out there but iv beat em all at some point


I dont think there is anyway that one person could say "i am the undisputed best player at uk,9 or 8" People will always lose sometimes

true, i think however the "best" player is decided by the continuous leading of the table and total domination on the site, for instance 6pack_jay leading the table for 6 months or however long it was, and smithbits domination at the present moment
