I have just played in a tournament, and lost 2-1 and was somewhat distracted by the opposition due to them having friends in there as well.

I was wondering if you would be able to add an additional tool to the options list so when you are playing in a tournament you are able to remove all players so that it is only you and the opponent. Then nobody can complain about other people being in the match and therefore it will not affect the result in any way!

Simply use the ignore feature in between shots.

I know from personal experience that it can be distracting in a tournament game when the chat screen is constantly on the move, but it only takes two clicks to ignore another member.

I disagree.

My reasons are;

If you don't like the person thats in the game, you could just click the button and it removes them.

And if he/she/they are not doing nothing they could just leave instead of you makeking them leave.

A better/simpler solution would be to let whoever wants to be in the game room stay, but rather add a button that lets you toggle whether or not the chat should be visible to you. In short, an "Ignore All" toggle.

While the current ignore option is a solution to this, it is a poor one - ignoring 3-4 people is a pretty solid distaction in its own right.

Or do what I do lol... physically hide the chat area by putting a credit card or piece of paper over it ;)

Join in the chat!

That way, it isnt distracting, and you may make new friends along the way!

How hard can that be?

Or move the window down so you can't see the chat area

Seriously though, an option to "suppress chat in game", similar to the current option for enrty/exit messages, would be the best solution, letting others continue chatting as they wish.

yes.....In a recent semi final this friend of a guy kept chatting to me about Australia!!

then I won (after his best attempts to distract me for his best mate) and then he kept insulting my opponent in the final!!

spinner, is the 'suppress chat' coming in soon (or is it already in)??

Preferably make that toggle always available as a button rather than a more permanent toggle in the options setup.

It's one of those things it would be nice to be able to toggle on/off fairly often, as situation requires.

Good point janmb

And no, its not in already (as far as i know!) or on the "coming soon" list, but its a simple idea that will help enhance enjoyment of the game.

Those are always the ones that are most likely to be included in future.
