The other threads that were made regarding this were archived so am making another!

Posting.

It appeals to some more than others {ok ok me, and fellow FJ's!} So was wondering if we could either have an increase (I know right away thats a no but oh well) OR if we can at least have a POST COUNTER? Theres nothing worse that getting caught up in a debate OR Laughing on fun and games, only to try post and ur limits up!

Theres Loads of us that would like this and its been asked for before yet we never seem to get a solid response from Admin.

Its not a lot to ask, considering theres loads of GAME features etc lol..

COME ON ADMIN, Give us Junkies a lil teeny weeny increase/counter

Only those who think this is a GOOD thing to post please

Im Game "Whatever"

A post counter is harmless, so i can see no problems with that.

Incerasing posting limits for those who have served their time is also a good idea.

No problems with either of those

im not so bothered about incresing the posts you can make- certain people post 100 pointless posts every 24 hours just to have a high post count and it annoys me already- increasing it would probably cause me to explode

i think somethin like a post counter would be good tho...

It also stops having to use multiple accounts just to post on the forums which i do believe, without looking, so correct me if im wrong, isnt allowed?

Using multiple accounts to post on the forum is allowed, but not allowed to avoid a posting ban.

A post counter?! A POST COUNTER?! Have you not heard of a piece of paper and a pencil?! Theres your post counter!

Im not sure really, lets face it there is only one or two people that use all their posts up in one day. So this extra work should be done to aid 0.001% of the funky community?! It doesnt seem to add up really.

I think a sensible solution to the problem would be for the user to keep tabs on their own posts. Im sure with some relatively simple planning that this problem can easily be avoided.

why waste paper on a homemade counter when technology is at out fingertips

True paper could be classed as a waste,, perhaps some plastic counters

Plastic......now theres a fine and dandy idea, and when your done with them........you can make a waterproof shelter out of them, that will never rot

Well, we already have the total counter - that should cover that need...

As for limiting the number of daily posts (or rather lifting it)... Well, why not just do what most other boards do to avoid getting flooded: Simply add a 1 minute (or more) timer between posts and remove the daily limit completely.

That completely kills the problem with flooding while keeping people able to take full part in a given discussion...

Then again, it kinda beats me how anyone would run into a 100 post daily limit anyways - if you do it's kinda a good indication to reconsider the content level of your posts imho.

Which is perfectly acceptable as long as, and only when, it goes in that direction. It's obviously a very different story if it had been the other way around.

On funkysnooker ive run out about 10 times, its very annoying and would like to see a post increase. A post counter aswell is a great idea!

Increase could cause spammers or as Mike said, we may get ppl posting just to BUMP posts to become an FJ, but am sure they are in the minority.

Theres no harm whatsoever in having a Post counter added though for them that would benefit.
Those who dont want it dont have to use it.

But..thers a way round seeing how much you've posted in one day...

At the start of the day, remember how much posts you have, and hen its nearly +100 you know...

Whats the point wen i simple counter cud help us! :S

Considering im prob the most addicted poster, and i know how many, etc, im still not sure how the limit works (times of posts)

I THINK it works out that if your 1st post of the day is at..erm... lets say 8am, and you use your 100th post at ANY time, you cant start posting til 8am next day. (same if ya posted at 2pm w/e)
