I use windows, but I'd switch to mac if I knew (or someone could tell me) if I can make presentations/word docs that are compatible with Office as that's what my uni uses

I hate both. PC and MAC both crash at the most inconvenient times.
But...
MAC is good for things like Quark Express, Photoshop and Indesign.
PC is good for things like Dreamweaver, Director and Flash.

Sorry, can't resist but to tell you of an incident Quark related.
I got a panic call from a local priners that their computer systems had failed when printing a time-sensitive document i was waiting for.
I had quark on my home PC, so quickly installed it on my (XP) tablet, went in to their office, it recognised their printing system, installed appropriate drivers from the net, and printed the booklet faultlessly.
They moved from Macs to PC's soon afterward.

Use a PC at the moment (running XP Pro SP2).
Switching to a Mac when I can afford the model I want, for it's superior audio (and to some extent video) editing capabilities.

I would choose PC anyday then MAC.... I have all macs adds and they are practically mocking themselves lol its pretty funny... But anyway * I Think * PC is alot better then MAC so for all those above that are moving to MAC your making a bad decision
Stay With PC

For everyday stuff, I would stick with PC just for compatibility and price.
But there's a reason recording studios generally prefer Macs.

I pretty sure that PC has brought out some good recording studio programs and will have some good music/sound programs.

True, they're just a lot more complicated to use on a PC and the results aren't as good.

Every fan of wireless computer geeks out there here comes the new Apple MacBook Air.
The worlds thinest notebook ever how do you like that.

I wonder if the Air floats. We should try it.

Nah. I'd take the Pro over the Air every time. I can't understand why anyone would want a laptop that doesn't even have a built in optical drive, has specs worse than a regular Macbook, and still costs as much as a Macbook Pro. No thanks.
I'll say no to that new iPod too.
I'm not a fan of touchscreen mp3 players. I like to be able to feel where the buttons are so I don't have to take the thing out of my pocket to do something as simple as skip one song.
