This is prolly a sensitive topic and easy to go down the wrong lane here, but bear with me...
There is a rather large amount of posts on the forums made by banned players all the time.
This makes me rather curious... what do people actually do that gets them banned all the time? Not asking for specifics or even close to it, merely asking in very general terms how so many players apparently manages to get themselves banned. Prolly the same people who get a few bans on new accounts too I guess, but never the less seems like quite a lot to me.
What do these people do? Cheat in-game? Violate board rules? (and instead of a clean yes on both, any indication as to which one is more commonly the cause would be helpful)
I guess the bottom line I'm asking for here is: Since bans are apparently this common, is that because there is a lot of cheating or (far less importantly) because people are retards on the boards?

Valid point, pity the thread has no point though.
Actually begging for it to be capped now.

Wow!
Whats so harmful about this thread??
About my view:
I believe that if a player has been banned for breaking the rules, he shouldnt be allowed back on.
Rule breakers are rule breakers, the aint gonna change, so why let them have another account?

Stop trying to play police imho. "Something I don't like" isn't a valid reason to have anything capped. My question was a polite, honest and valid one - if you don't like the topic I'm sure no one is forcing you to read it.
Thanks for the reply Adidas, not tangible enough to really be worth anything much tho, but I guess it's as specific as you wanna get.

Not "policing" anything, the thread querey had been answered making the new status of the thread pointless.

Stop naggig to get this thread capped. I'm still waiting for more on-topic replies here. If you don't like it - as I already said - no one is forcing you to read.

Ok. Calm down. I doubt you will get much help in future though if the attitude is to bite peoples head off who are trying to solve your problem. Sorry for the misunderstanding anyway.
EDIT: just that I've played this game a while now and the same threads keep popping up so It gets a bit boring as a regular forum user to keep reading them. Its my problem not ures. Sorry.

Well, hopefully the topic title would speak pretty clearly what this thread would be about, so shouldn't be that hard to avoid spending time on it ;)
I'v been using a massive number of boards in my last 10-15 years on the net myself and definitely know what you mean, but in general the problem is the reader and not the posters. If all forums should be constrained to allow only topics that none of its more established users would find boring or pointless.... well there wouldn't be much room for posts at all, would there?

I can see your point that a fair few posts have 'banned user' beside them. Remember though that one banned user alone may have made 1000's of posts in his time.
Accounts can be banned for a number of reasons. Cheating, unsuitable or offensive usernames and offensive behaviour towards fellow users can all lead to bans. No one type of offence sticks out as a main cause.
Our main aim in moderating Funkypool is to ensure that the very low percentage of users who break site rules are not allowed to spoil the game for others. When we have proof that an individual is acting in a way that is doing so, action is always taken.
In all truth though, the vast majority of members are decent people and respect rules and fellow players. The proportion of Funkypool members who earn themselves a ban is very low. I personally think that it takes a certain kind of muppet to get themselves banned from a free entertainment site, but as in all walks of life - there's always those special few

Going with what Martin_blank said - There are a select few who just feel the need to spoil the site for others. It's our job to try and make sure this doesn't happen, though of course, we can only do so much. It helps, as we've all said before, if you send in a complaint if someone is being abusive to you. While you may not see any actions taken place, rest assured that your complaint didn't go unnoticed.
