hey all!!!

When I first started playing on funypool.com, I was surprised to encounter abuse, attempts to put me off and general outright rudeness.
At first I retaliated as it really annoyed me and then I realised hey its just a game, If people dont want to be curtious or polite thats fine.
Retaliating just put me off and killed my rating, Im comfortable just being polite to all and playing anyone who wants.
I know it sounds naff but why not all of uhs enjoy this site created for free but decent people in harmony, to the ten percent of rude players / bad losers hey theres no need and to the 90 percent of polite fantastic players, great playing you all now and in the future.

Nice to see someone with the right sort of appreciation towards the site creator (Nick).

All sites suffer from abusive members, Funkypool have promoted selected members to become part of the moderating staff who are there to combat such an issue.

You can also do your bit and send complaints where necessary...

I dont tend to stumble across abusive players...

But when I do, they get an earful back (Non - offensive mind. Im not that type of person).

Put up with them for 3 years plus. Don't bother talking to them anymore.

No matter how polite you are to ppl, you will ALWAYS get the odd one or two being abusive.

Way back, yeah, i was the type to give abuse back (am sure most of us have 'snapped' @ some point)
Grown up lots now tho and the only way to beat the 'abusers' is to do one of 3 things:

1) Ignore them
2) Agree with all they say (they hate that!lol)
3) Laugh, and laughing is gud for ya!

That is the BEST way of getting rid of them.

They say your rubbish, just go "Yeah, I am. So what?"

That is the best response to ANY insult, as they cant think of a come back or an answer to the "So what" bit...

Listed are a few of the responses I used to give:

"Oh how rude" :( ...quickly followed by a LMAO
"Yep, ur right i am a <beep>" Cheers for that...followed by a :)
"Hey, im a nice girl, i dont mind the abuse, at least ur leaving someone else alone"

I can hardly remember you playing pool Paula.... was it Al that abused you ??

it,s a shame there are a small number of mindless
and unsporting players.For me this site is somewere we can come and play why we chill out,if i get abused i just ignore it and don,t stoop to there level.I find thats the best way,but even after the abuse i still say gg wp m8 for me thats the best way

these kind of people ruin the game, the majority of the players however are very nice, if you play against this kind of person just ignore them or report them to a moderator

Everyone gets abusive players....But you just gotta ignore them. Leave the game once finished.

exactly- quickpot is an admin but he doesnt own the site

I find the best way to deal with these sad and lonely people is to simply hit the ignore button. Works a treat.

if you come across any abusive players get them to read my profile, get them to go through the 4 stages to get over themselves
