Who's like to take part in an exciting new tournament?

Rules:
- Knockout (except if there are just three players)
- Best of one frame
- Frame has a 90 second shot limit

More rules:
- If a player deletes, is banned, or is DQ'ed by me, the player he/she beat in the last round has the right to take his/her place. This means that no players is ever properly eliminated until the final gets played.
- If the player beaten in the last round as described above deletes, is banned, or is DQ'ed by me, his/her place in turn is taken by the winner of a match between the players they beat in the round before that again, using the rules described above.

Sounds complicated but it's very simple, and means that if the player that beats you is eliminated through means other than playing a pool game, you may have an entry route back in. Needlessly to say tose rules are only needed in the event of players who delete, get banned (i.e. morons) or get disqualified.

I will

Example:

A beats B
C beats D
E beats F
G beats H

A beats C and qualified for the final
E vs G - G gets banned and is replaced by H
E beats H

THEN... A gets banned - C qualifies for the final;
C gets banned - B and D are back in it and play each other in the semi-final.

The simple way of looking at this tournament is:

- 90 second limit, first to 1 frame, short and sweet
- beaten players can play again if their conqueror leaves.

Oh! One more rule:
- Rounds last three days; players who get byes but don't log in can still be booted.

So... who's in? Dedicated players only please...

Change of rule: if both players agree, the match can be played with a 60 second shot limit.

Brief summary of the rules:

1 frame of US 8 ball
90 sec shot limit (or 60 if both players agree) to help you get the most out of a one-frame shootout
Winning qualifies you for round 2
Losing doesn't necessarily mean you're out if your opponent later defaults

So jason1998 gets a bye, and 1ukeldinho gets a bye.

All ties have a three day limit FROM WHEN THEY'RE ANNOUNCED! This means I might be doing the semi-final draw earlier than planned, and then the known semi-finalists have to get it on quick. Although then they'll probably be waiting for the finalist at that stage after the deadline, so that might not be fair. We'll play it by ear.

Remember, if you lose in Round 1, you might be readmitted if your opponent is DQ'ed or leaves FP.

I will have no problem wielding the axe, this has to finish by next week. It's a simple tournament, with an experimental readmission rule.

Oh, i'm thrilled with that.......
