I was thinking of having the opportunity to re-play a shot in practice mode if it didn't exactly go to plan.

I feel there would be many benefits with this, such as learning certain pocket angles and learning what different types of spin can do in certain situations. It would simply consist of resetting the context from the previous shot, so the balls are in the same position etc.

I think this is what 'practice' is all about tbh, and I would love to see this implemented, as I don't use practice mode at all because I don't see a reason to atm.

Yeah this is one of the ideas ive thought of myself, seen mentioned by others, and i'd really like to see it

Being able to move/position each ball would better this idea...

Yeah i suppose i agree. Both together would be pretty class

the only reason il like to be able to move the balls would be for use in trickshots tbh, I dont really practice much, thats not to say though that other members wouldnt use it for practicing difficult shots
