Call Shot Mode

I'll apologize in advance if this idea was introduced before.
I'm particularly interested in how players perform their shot. In other words, is there any chance that a call-shot mode can be integrated into the lineup?
An idea of a call-shot mode (for those who may not be fully-aware of it) is when you call which pocket the ball goes into at all times. Failure to do so is the loss of your turn, despite pocketing any other ball. The call-shot mode can be a choice that the player creating the game can choose as an option.
Feel free to point out an advantages or disadvantages that I didn't cover - or why this is / is not a considerable idea. I'm interested to know what others may think.

I'm not sure how it would be implemented. As you'd have to have a drop down box or checkbox or similar so the system knows what your call is, and I can only see this taking up time in the shot, not to mention it could get quite annoying to open a box and select where you are going to shoot.
It's a good idea though, adds another level of skill to the game, just difficult to implement.

At all times is a bit excessive. I understand having it on the black, where losing to a fluke can hurt, but every shot? A lot of players may find it prohibitive, and as steve says it takes up time for your shot.

The biggest reason this isn't implimented here (or on snooker) is because of the effect it would have on the playability of the funkygames.
Its not a difficult thing to do technically (most other games which have the rule simply block your shot until you click on a pocket) but it interrupts the "smoothess" of gameplay, and is another bump in the learning curve.
This is one of a few ideas that i would like to see if there was a "simulation" game in future.

I would like to see this introduced as a more fun optional choice in a game out of interest, but i wouldnt like to see it as a mandatory thing.
The best thing about funkypool is the ease of play, and I think this may overcomplicate things and prove more of an annoyance than anything else.

Of course, I was just stating a mere example of a call-shot mode. Of course, there can be multiple types like:
1.) Call-shot on the black
2.) Call-shot on all shots
3.) Call-shot 1-time on the black
etc.
The challenge is fun. I wouldn't mind seeing a call-shot mode in the menu one day (a bit like when you choose the time-limit for each turn, call-shot would be another option you can choose).
Such a thing upon success can also make way for call-shot tournaments & ranking - with higher ranking incentives that make it interesting for rank junkies, or a rank system of its own.
It should never be mandatory - which is why I'm labeling it as a mode. However, I like the idea's challenge & learning curve. Whether or not its an easy feature to implement in the applet, I just wanted to see what others would think of it. :D
