However, I follow football in various countries, Ireland is included after one of my favourite former Villa players came from an Irish club called Ballymena.

I mean, a team that I noted from Sensible World of Soccer, Derry City are from Northern Ireland but are in the Irish league. Noted them mainly because it looked like a typo of Derby at the time

But I know Birmingham (can't say the nickname we give them because it is bad language ) signed last year's winner, Keith Fahey from St Paddy's and I remember the foreigner being a fairly recent winner.

Reading also have a few former Irish league starlets in Kevin Doyle who may have been top scorer or near the top for Cork City
