Best thing to do is just spit it out - here are the four songs with their sales figures after them:
A) "Angels" - Robbie Williams (<1m)
B) "Blue Monday" - New Order (1.002m)
C) "Last Christmas" - Wham! (1.458m)
D) "Wonderwall" - Oasis (1.015m)
Therefore... the answer is C) "Last Christmas" - Wham!, you've just lost £200,000... but you leave with £50,000!!! Woooooooo!
Last Christmas had the bad luck to be up against Do They Know It's Christmas by Band Aid. In its first week, Last Christmas sold half a million and would have sailed to No 1 at any other time. Alas, No 2 was as far as it ever got.
Wonderwall also had a bit of bad luck, running into I Believe/Up On The Roof by Robson & Jerome.
Blue Monday only made it to No 3 and is the biggest selling No 3 single of all time, with a bit of help from its 1988 remix. Originally released in 1983, it had only reached No 9.
Robbie Williams has had 13 Top 3 hits, yet his biggest selling single Angels only got to Number 4. 1,000,000 copies were shipped, with 864,000 copies sold.
So...... pot_the_lot finishes on £50,000!!! Fancy a crack at asking the questions?
Nope - World Trade Center on RTE1!
