I've heard the First Lady's name been thrown around on a few occasions during some of Obama's awe-inspiring ramblings, and if I'm not mistaken, I believe her name is Michelle, so I'll try for c) Michelle please
12:31 Wed 4 Feb 09 (GMT) [Link]
Hmm I don't like when that's asked, but I'm pretty sure of my answer, so I'll stick with Michelle, final answer
12:35 Wed 4 Feb 09 (GMT) [Link]

Hmmm okay lets see...
Well there's only 1 referee, then there's two umpires at either end, that makes 5...linesmen...there's gotta be two of them too, so that makes 7
Ahh what the hell, c) 7, final answer

Shakespeare's my specialty.
Oooooh, he's trying to trick you, he is! Shakespeare wrote all of those.... except change Cressida in The Two Gentlemen of Cressida to Verona. You've probably heard of Titus Andronicus because that's his first play. (I think.)
The answer is B.

In other news, the time allowed for the spot prize on the previous page has elapsed! The answer shall remain as a secret and will serve as a shibboleth for us Irish!
As for your question on Shakespeare, Katie was very astute in spotting that The Two Gentlemen of Cressida ought to read The Two Gentlemen of Verona, which I chose to splice with another play from the Bard, Troilus and Cressida – which there's a good chance he didn't actually write. But Katie's right, which means that you're right, and you're up to... £20,000!!!
So, here is Question 7, and it's worth a guaranteed £50,000. I was gonna give you... naaaah, if you get this one right and qualify for the toughies I'll reveal the question I had in mind!!! Right, here we go.....
-----------------£50,000-----------------
In which year did Algeria gain independence from France?
A) 1952 B) 1962
C) 1972 D) 1982

This is kinda weird, because just the other day I was reading a fascinating article about the president of Algeria (his name has escaped me), and the article author was bigging up his role in the liberation of his country when he was in the army...but it didn't mention what year they gained independence lol...BUT, I do remember what age he is, and going by that alone, I think I can maybe rule out a couple of the answers...on that evidence, I would like 50/50 please cloone...

50/50 it is, and the draw was done randomly at http://www.chatzy.com/654630603093

I was hoping 1952 would stay...and I am sincerely hoping (and presuming) that he wasn't fighting in the army at 15 (though you never know I guess), so I'll say b) 1962, final answer please
