when you send a complaint and the window comes up, you have to fill in the persons name and then type in letter for letter why you are complaining.

that can take for anywhere up to a minute but I have an idea so we could send a complaint in 15 seconds MAXIMUM!

even though we are shaving just a little bit of time off; why couldnt there be a feture where you put who your complaining against a drop down button for everyone in that room that you are in (or PM) at that time.

And then for complaint reason, just have another drop down button for the reason...insted of having to spell it correctly. if you miss one button, you have to do it again.

that way we can get back to what we were doing faster. and if a player were to suddenly leave a room after making a major offence and they are not in the drop down tool; you can also have it so you can click 'other user' where another box would come up and then you type there name in manually.......

........Like I said, only cuts off a few seconds but I find it annoying when I miss ONE single letter or press say a 'E' insted of an 'R' (next to each other on the keyboard)...and then your wasting another 30 seconds just trying to get it right again.

so this would cut a few seconds off and no one makes a single spelling error so they have to do it again.

Especially with the players who have them long awkward names, I don't get either why you have to fill in a reason if the chat log gets sent to Admin surely they have half an ounce of common sense and can see what the reason is from the chat log.

So yeah I quite like this idea, current method sucks...

For the actual complaint, i just copy and paste what it says in the description aboce - 3 seconds tops. for the name, i can usually just read it off the chat box, or i open pm -> profile -> copy and paste again. takes a little longer, but works for me.

I suppose I agree for the actual complaints as they are from a fixed list, but trying to do the same for a dynamic group of users constantly entering and leaving the chat room may prove a little problematic. I suppose itcould come down to effort to code vs. benefit to users.

i thorught i said this but this may have been missed so I will say it again if at all I said it...

but what I was trying to say is at the time you hit 'Send Complaint' the dropdown menu of usernames would not change, no matter how many people enter or leave the room. So basicly, when you hit SC, you would only see the names in the chat room at the time of hitting the button.

That works so the offender cant slip away suddenly (if so already, use 'other member' maybe) and also the list is not constantly changing all the time.

Sorry, I think I missed that bit. I think it's a great idea like that, though the "other member" bit kind of ruins the expediency of it - still having to type in the while username if they've left. Perhaps extending the list to include recent occupants to catch those who try to dat off?

or....how about because some people who enter the chat room never really chat, just the people who have chatted in the room (or any room/PM) within the last say 3 minutes

that way in a chat room of 50 people where only 10 or 15 may be talking, the list is only on the people who have chatted in the last 3 minutes.

i say 3 minutes because you may be away from the computer at some stage, then they say something really bad to you.
