I was woundering if any of you use IRC (Internet Relay Chat) and if funkypool does currently have 1, if not i was woundering if you would like 1 to use by funkypool members when they need to talk to anybody 24/7 online aswell

I still use IRC a bit, but there really isn't any need for a funkypool channel when funkypool chat is live 24/7 anyway

Its a really strange phenomenon just how nasty people are when they become nothing more than a number.
In a lot of ways, it shows you just how much good the law and those who enforce it do.
Sorry, way off topic, but a subject thats always fascinated me!

Sorry to sound incredibly thick but what is Internet relay chat?
Is it basically a chat room?
Thanks in advance.

IRC was the first widely used multi-user chat client. Users are identified by iRC numbers, and chatrooms are called channels.
In its purest form it could run on very basic systems in plain 8bit text using clients like telnet, though its much more advanced (complicated) now.
It was in use af far back as 1988 on Bulletin Board Systems (Like Prestel, for anyone whoused that) before it really took off as the internet became more widely accepted.
Edit - forgot a link! http://www.irc.net/
