I dont think you get an xbox with xbox live setup .. You get every cable etc with any xbox package you buy.. and obviously u will get a manual lmao

If you buy the Xbox 360 Arcade pack, You get all the right stuff to set it up, You get the grey cable with it to plug in to your computer or wireless box..

If your Xbox is going to be upstairs you will need to buy the wireless router for the xbox, it picks up your connection.. but that costs £60

So my opinion is you move it to where your wireless is, Thats what i did.. i had to change it because i seen the price of that router thingy and thought it was a rip off lol

EDIT: When you have everything ready.. To join xbox live you have to go to a shop like GAME and buy a xbox live membership it will say 3 months or 12 on it at the front, Or you can pay for the membership on the xbox.

I thought the arcade one couldn't go online?

Setting up live is basic, i didn't need instructions!!!
I'm lucky enough to have the internet connection in the hallway, which means i can just move the router into my room and make sure it isn't a trip hazard.

Another good thing is that you can now download some good films for microsoft points, 300 and the matrix trilogy are going cheap!

A mate told me the cable from your XBox to the router is about a couple of meters long........Thers a prob.....as i need my XBox 360 upstairs.......and theres no way thats a couple o fmeters away....

Isnt there ANY extenstion leads to have the same cable but bigger? and it will prob get in the way too

Well i'm sure you can buy an ethernet extension from somewhere.
It only gets in the way if you make it in the way.

On the subject of Xbox Live, I still can't get my 360 on live!
Right.. first i plugged it into my NTL VIRGIN MEDIA cable modem. After, i clicked on test connection. The connection was fine but then it got to the second bit, it tested the I.P Address but failed.
I have been trying to get past this problem since christmad now, and all it does is say I.P Address failed .
What could be the problem with it?

xbox 360 have to many problem the game shave to many glitches, for exmaple the best selling xbox 360 game is full of glitches and you dont want it with something that is so expensive, it had got better graphics than the ps3 and runs just as smooth as 1 but if you are a dedicated 360 lover then you wont change you mind jsut dont have to high hopes with the console

Meh, i had a Playstation 1 and 2, the 3rd one was terrible to me, the wii didn't really appeal to me, and the xbox impressed me most.
Ok, there are problems with some games ONLINE, but no in game glitches.

Besides, the PS3 Pro evo 2008 glitches in exhibition etc, never mind online!

How big is your house? I used to have to run a cable from my living room upstairs to my room and a 15m cable left me with plenty to spare. I would say you probably don't need much more than 20 metres, especially if you don't want a load bunched up causing a trip hazard

Nooo the 20GB is the premium one, the arcade pack is the one without the hard drive.
