I'm not keen to be honest. I think it would just encourage spam.

But if you have enough posts to gat anywhere the top you're likely to get caught if it's just spamming. I don't think you can accuse any of those who would make up the current top 10 or top 20 of deliberately spamming to get so high, even if the occasional post is a bit dubious.

Due to the fact i agree with Bobs post, but also theres only a maximum of 100 posts a day

Naaaah, as Martin said it'd encourage aimless spamming just to get to whatever ranking. Although other forums which I am signed up too all have a ranking example: 10,000 = Forum legend.

wouldn't it be better with just a name no number? if you got over 1000 posts you will be a forum junkie, with 1 - 100 posts chicken 100 - 200 farmer etc etc just random weird names and then maybe you could just see how many posts people has posted by simply looking at they're profile.

exactly my point. And it would be good with names AND numbers i reckon. Because if its 10,000 posts - 20,000 posts until you reach the next name and you hsve like 19,500 posts, people may think your on 11,000 posts or sumin when in actuall fact you got 19,500 lol

Nop.......its for fun and help yes.....But while posting for fun and help, it builds up your number of posts anyway......

And i dont think no one is going to come on funkypool for a couple of hours and repeatively post until they have reached therre limit number of posts per day (100) and then leave and ocme back the next day just to get a high forum rank.

Wanna bet on that some people spam the forum already with pointless threads so this would only encourage them- saying that i dont think its a bad idea

They wont JUST to get a hig rank.....thier either doing it because they like the forums or want to actually see a special topic.

But as mentioned above, moderators are thier to do thier job.......and after a couple of people have been banned for spamming hte forums to get a high rank, people will stop and think to themselves
"im not doing that just to end up beign banned form the site!"
and people would eventually stop it, if not less people would.

I like this idea, nice addition to an already great game and forum. As for the spam thing, we're here to stop things like that so that's not a concern of mine.

But then again.......Nick doesn't really add anything mentioned on the forums..

he does use the ideas sometimes, i think that is a bit harsh.
However when you consider how many rubbish threads, and threads that have been mentioned many times and have more bad points than good points, id imagine the thread title would have to be pretty eye catching to get him to read it.
I never see him online now so i cant imagine he browses the forums a lot.
If it wasnt for forum suggestions we wouldnt have such regular tournaments, the offline messaging system etc etc
